Happy Thursday, everyone! So for the past month and a half, I’ve been on a room-decorating spree. The furniture in my room was getting pretty old, so I swapped it out for a new set. And of course, you can always count on new furniture to put you in that inspired mindset to create the “perfect” room. Browsing through Ikea, scrolling through Pinterest, wandering through random stores–I did it all, and even now, my room is still a work in progress. Today, I wanted to share two of my favorite finds from my room decorating experience.
Jewelry Storage & Displays:
This might sound a little weird, but I’ve found that the best place to look for jewelry storage is the kitchen section of furniture stores. A lot of the cute containers used to make food look good can be used to make your jewelry look good too! Here’s what I did with a tidbit tray that I found from a clearance sale at Pier 1 Imports a while back.
It’s super easy to get creative with these, and they make your jewelry look fantastic! Here are some other kitchen trays that would work just as well.
Yes, this is a pretty obvious one, but a picture frame here and there cane really brighten up a room! It just sucks that frames are so expensive. But Framebridge was having a 2 for $50 Instagram framing special so I decided to give their service a try (no this is not a sponsored post). The framing and shipping took a while and I waited 3 weeks to finally receive my frames. That should improve in the future, though, as the company gradually expands. But they really take the time and effort to personalize their service for you. You even get a handwritten card!
I chose a slim white frame for both of my pictures. The picture sindie had its own thick white border (about 2 in. on each side) which gave the whole thing a more minimalistic look. The pictures I chose from my Instagram were both very summer-y so the white really brought out the fresh and light mood that I was going for 🙂
If you guys have tried any other similar framing services, I’d love to hear about them! Picture frames are a fun and easy way to add a little extra flair to any room. So whether you’re moving into a college dorm or redecorating at home, think about framing some of your favorite memories and putting them up on display!
And there’s a picture of my room (I have a lot of stuffed animals, I know). Hope you guys enjoyed today’s post! Thanks for reading! 🙂
