I got these masks a while back…can’t remember exactly what prompted me to get them, though. I’ve never really been a fan of sheet masks, but compared to the other clay masks that I always use, sheet masks are quite a bit more convenient. My skin may not feel as squeaky clean afterwards, but it definitely feels refreshed and rejuvenated. So on days where I don’t feel like having a messy layer of mud on my face, I opt for these. I prefer these over the My Beauty Diary face masks. I think the fit of these Tony Moly masks are much better, and the masks aren’t as drenched with serum.
I believe there are 11 masks total in the “I’m Real” collection, and I got the whole set off of Amazon, for $11 something, which is a pretty good deal considering how much these retail for individually at Sephora. The packaging, as with most Korean products, is adorable, and I love the bright colors they use! Each mask is geared for a different purpose and feature a different main ingredient. Here are closeups of each one:
So….HONESTLY, I can’t tell the difference between these sheet masks. The packaging is adorable and it’s nice that they have a different ingredient and purpose for each one, but my skin looks and feels about the same no matter which one I use. I leave them on for about 25 minutes before taking it off and rubbing the leftover serum into my skin. The scents for the masks are all different though (not necessarily reflective of the underlying ingredient), but they’re all very light and smell pleasantly refreshing. The tomato one sort of smells like tomato, but the broccoli one doesn’t smell like…broccoli, lol.
All in all, I think that these are great masks to have for days where you just feel like treating your skin. But in terms of “brightening”, “purifying”, “moisturizing”, I honestly couldn’t tell the difference. My skin would just feel very refreshed afterwards. If you are considering these, I highly recommend getting them off of Amazon–I really think that’s the best-value option. And if you 11 is too many…the extras would make great gifts! 🙂
