So I recently made a trip to Solvang, and I must say I was very impressed! Despite it being such a small town, Solvang really does have an authentic Danish charm. For those of you who don’t know, Solvang is a small Danish themed town a little north of Santa Barbara. They have some amazing brunch and dessert places. The architecture there is so fitting of an actual Danish community–it’s almost as if you actually drove into Europe.
We left early in the morning and our first stop was for brunch. We had a very hearty breakfast, to say the least.
Everything was so delicious. I was quite happy ^_^
And here are some more pictures of the rest of the town.
I think this was actually a hotel. But seriously, what kind of hotel looks like this?! Only in Solvang….
And our last stop was this bake shop. I mean, how can you not fall in love with the city of Solvang when the shops look like this. I could have sat in there all day waiting for the baked goods to come out of the oven. Hope you guys enjoyed this mini virtual tour of Solvang. It really is a nice place to go for a weekend trip (even a day trip, actually). Quaint. That’s probably how I would describe Solvang if I only had one word.
Looks yummy.
