I fell in love with this watch about a year ago, but the hefty price tag kept me from buying it right away. So I kept a close eye on it (it never went on sale, though) and tried to look for more affordable options. But nothing else that I saw really spoke to me. There’s just something about this watch from Larsson & Jennings. You’ll understand what I mean when you see the pictures below. It’s somehow modern but still classy, oversized but still elegant, and bold but still minimalistic. I don’t know how they did it, but this design works. Larsson & Jennings is based in the UK, and I believe they only have one store there. So most of their business is conducted online on their website, which I will link here.
If you’re from the U.S., they ship the watches from New Jersey, and there’s NO sales tax or shipping fees, which is a huge plus. Shipping takes about 3-5 days, and they usually ship out the watch the day after you place your order. The watch itself comes in beautiful packaging. and I took my time opening it up 🙂
At 40mm, this watch is quite big. I have pretty small wrists, and I was actually surprised that there was still room for the straps to show at the ends of my wrist. I spent a long time debating between the 40mm Lader and the 33mm Liten. Both watches literally have the exact same design, but I went with the 40mm because I felt that it better emphasized the minimalistic aspect.
The leather straps are made of great material and are very soft and comfortable to wear. They have two sizes for the straps: S and L. The exact measurements of each strap size can be found on their website.
Here’s how it looks on my wrist. I love pairing it with my gold cuff bracelets and my rose gold ear-jacket earrings. I don’t wear a lot of color these days (in my outfits) so this watch is very easy to match.
At $360, this watch is definitely not a small purchase. But I think it’s worth every penny. For those of you who are considering getting this watch, I highly recommend waiting for a bit to see if you really really want it. I waited for a year, and it made me a lot more confident in my decision to buy it in the end. You never want to spend this much money on something that you don’t 100% absolutely love.
Larsson & Jennings also offers incredible customer service. I decided that I didn’t want the detachable straps that came with the watch because I was worried about them accidentally falling off. I emailed the customer service team and they sent out the non-detachable version of the straps right away. I got them 3 days later and had them put in for free at a local watch repair shop.
I hope you all found this review helpful! And if you have any additional questions, feel free to ask me.
