Keeping with the SoCal trend from Wednesday, Foodie Friday today brings us to Laguna Beach! There are so many cute restaurants here. Super beach-y vibes, and everyone here is really chill and laid-back. The only thing that sucks about this area is parking. There’s never enough of it, and the spots that are available are always super tricky to get into. Or maybe that’s just me since I can’t parallel park to save my life. But if you do park further away than your intended destination, your walk back is the perfect opportunity to take in the beautiful views of Laguna Beach!
Now for the food part! I decided to try a restaurant called K’ya Bistro Bar. I wasn’t feeling particularly hungry for dinner so the tapas style dining that they had at K’ya was perfect. I ordered three things: lobster mac and cheese, ahi tuna poke, and a salad. Everything was delicious! The mac and cheese was a bit on the heavy side, as I expected, but the first few bites were AMAZING. Wish they included more lobster though. The ahi tuna was my favorite. The tuna was seasoned perfectly and went very well with the chips that came along with the dish. The salad was…well…salad. Nothing super special, haha, but it did have a good mix of ingredients.
I love tapas style dining because you can try so many things and not have to eat too much of each one. It’s great place to come with friends and family. Sharing food brings everyone closer! It can get kind of pricey, and a lot of people accidentally order too much. So I recommend starting out with 2-3 dishes and keeping a menu in case you want to order more. Our eyes are always bigger than our stomachs 🙂
Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Have a great weekend!

Looks good.. For a place like California, where super skinny is the norm, they seem to love food there!! Cool pictures!
Gahhh looks so good!! I was trying to find the like button on here but I can’t seem to locate it!
Ah thank you for letting me know! Just migrated my whole site to a self-hosted domain yesterday. Still trying to figure things out, but the like button should be working now 🙂

Hi April! Thank you for reading 🙂
The quality of your photos are amazing! Keep it up! Can’t believe you’ve started only a while ago. 🙂
Aw thanks Jess! 🙂 I’m still trying to figure out the whole self-hosted website thing, but I think you subscribed to my old WordPress site which is no longer working. There should be a follow button on my blog in the lower right corner that should link the subscription to my new blog 🙂
