Funny story time. A couple years ago when I was training for my first (and last) half-marathon, I decided to start training for speed at the gym. So the thing is…I NEVER run at the gym. The treadmill legit gives me motion sickness and the unchanging scenery makes the whole experience incredibly boring for me. I’d much rather run outside. But the race was coming up and I didn’t want to make a fool of myself so I thought hey, why not incorporate some interval training into my workout routine.
This one day I was training at the gym, I had quite the experience. The cardio room was packed and there was a line of people waiting for their turn on the treadmills. AKA, there was an audience. I was in the middle of a 45 second “sprint” when a really annoying song came up on my playlist. I was using Pandora, btw, so it’s not like I had this song voluntarily stored on my phone. I grabbed my phone from the little compartment on the treadmill, but because I was just in a weird exhausted state of mind, my phone slipped through my hands. My earphones pulled out of the headphone jack and my phone landed on the treadmill belt and flew right off. I awkwardly went to go pick it up, and by this time everyone was already staring at me. I tried to play it cool and walked back calmly to my treadmill, not looking up as I did so. I pretended I was texting or changing my playlist–being cool, you know. I got back to my treadmill, got on, and as soon as I stepped on I realized I had forgotten to pause the belt. But it was too late. I flew off, with phone, earphones, and all. So embarrassing, omg. Moral of the story? Avoid wired headphones at the gym.
So, today I wanted to share with you guys my experience using Sudio Sweden’s wireless earphones: the Sudio Sweden VASA Bla. These earphones are amazing! Not only will you never have to worry about awkward gym experiences, your overall music-listening experience will be enhanced as well. These earphones offer studio quality sound (I literally can’t hear a thing when I have them on) and incredible flexibility. They are the lightest bluetooth earphones on the market today, and the material and aesthetics reflect classic Swedish design. They use an anti-tangle cable material so you won’t have to worry about your earphones getting tangled up. And the leather case they include perfectly fits the earphones, AND looks quite fancy. With an 8-hour battery life, you could literally go all day with wireless freedom. I don’t listen to music that much over the course of a day so it lasts me at least 3-4 days before I have to charge.
Anyway, since using these, my life has changed! Maybe not that dramatically, but small moments make a difference! I can workout freely now with music without having to worry about being right next to my phone (the range on these earphones is pretty good). When I’m studying and I remember I have to grab something from the other side of the house, I can just get up right away and do my thing without having to kill my jam. You can connect to your phone or laptop (or I guess anything bluetooth capable), and the controls are super easy to figure out.
Also, when it comes to earphones, I think fit is super important! I have really small ears, so most standard-sized earbuds fall right out. Thankfully, Sudio includes 5 alternative pairs of earbuds, all in various sizes, so that you can choose the best fit for yourself. I had to go with the smallest pair, but they fit great and I can jump around while working out without worrying about them falling out.
They have a great color selection and all of them look amazing. The one I have is in rose gold. These earphones don’t come super cheap, but Sudio Sweden was nice enough to offer ya’ll a discount code. If you guys are interested, use the code reasyume for 15% off!
