Switzerland already feels like so long ago…even though we’ve been back for less than a week. But it is nice being able to get a meal for under $20 per person again, haha. No regrets, though—the trip was totally worth. Switzerland is such a small country, but there’s so much natural beauty I feel like you could stay here for years and not get bored. It felt like every city we went to was prettier than the last. And Zurich was a wonderful starting point! Which brings me to the topic of this post…if you’re looking for a place to stay while in Zurich, look no further than the 25Hours hotel in Zurich West!
This hotel might not be in the middle of old town, but it’s a 30 second walk from the tram that can get you to old town in ~10 min. It’s also a lot cheaper than the hotels you’ll find in old town. Zurich West is a wonderful neighborhood, a lot more modern, of course, but it’s nice to be able to get a taste of both while you’re in Zurich. The transportation system that they have in Switzerland is great, so you’re really not to far from anywhere you want to visit 🙂
As for the hotel itself, I’ve never stayed in a hotel with more personality. The interior décor of this hotel is young, playful, and vibrant. The rooms are very clean, well-decorated, with wonderful views of West Zurich.

The staff is super friendly and incredibly helpful. You can buy transportation tickets directly at the front desk! And they can show you where everything is on a local map. They also have a cute kiosk in the lobby, selling postcards, socks, bags, etc. They partner with local brands based in Zurich, and they’ve got quite the selection! Wonderful option if you’re looking for unique souvenirs to bring back home.
All in all, we had a lovely stay here, and I can’t recommend this hotel enough! So much personality and spunk—you’ll definitely want to spend more than 25 hours here.
