For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you know that I eat out A LOT. Heck, I just eat a lot. And over the past couple years I haven’t been as good about working out (probably need to start doing PIIT28 again), so the calories are slowly starting to show.
About a year ago, I was looking up “natural” ways to lose weight. I kept seeing people talking about apple cider vinegar. First of all, in what world is drinking vinegar “natural”?! All the health benefits sounded amazing, though, so I stopped by my local grocery store and picked up a bottle. Let’s just say I was done with ACV after a single shot. Man, vinegar is already bad enough. You mix in apple…and I’d say it actually gets worse. So no, no thank you. Don’t worry though. The ACV still got put to good use. We dealt with two rounds of fruit fly infestations over the past year, and ACV is the most effective remedy. Highly recommend!
Fast forward to now, and there is actually a gummy version of ACV, thanks to Goli Nutrition! Of course I was skeptical at first…that just seemed too good to be true. But hey, let’s see what happened.
The biggest sellers for me were the taste and how they’re also safe for tooth enamel. Can’t tell you how many cavities I’ve had in my life, but let’s just say…I got weak teeth. My dentist actually told me to stay away from any kind of citrus if I can. So ACV in its natural form…definitely a no go.
So I’ve been trying these Goli ACV gummies for a few days now. Let’s talk about which benefits I’ve noticed (a lot of the benefits listed above are really hard to assess…so I’m only going to talk about the tangible ones):
- Easy to take: Yes, these are DEFINITELY delicious. Can’t say that I’d snack on them all the time (they do have a slightly sour flavor, NOT in a bad way), but compared to a shot of natural ACV, these gummies are a life saver! They taste/smell are both decent! It really is like getting all the apple without the vinegar. And they don’t make my teeth feel like they’re dissolving 🙂
- Appetite control: I was actually so surprised by this. I snack A LOT during the day, especially at work. Combination of being hungry and stressed. My stomach is usually growling by 10am every morning, and that’s usually my cue to go on a snack hunt. After I started taking these, I literally did NOT feel like eating in the morning. The first day I thought it was just a one-off case – maybe I was more stressed than usual, maybe it was the placebo effect. But the same thing happened the next couple of days! Sometimes my stomach would growl, but I literally did not feel the need to snack. And as someone who gets super hangry, I was really impressed! Will keep ya’ll posted if anything changes. I don’t regularly weight myself, but man if I can keep this up, I think I can finally start dropping a few pounds 😀
I managed to convince my boyfriend to try them too. Like me, he was skeptical at first. But it was love at first bite! Maybe not love…but in his exact words: “Huh…these taste pretty good.”
Overall, I’m officially hooked! I take two gummies first thing every morning, and my appetite is well maintained throughout the rest of the day. The biggest test for me was getting through the morning (it’s usually ALWAYS a struggle). And these definitely did the job! So for all of ya’ll on the fence, give it a try! If you’ve had natural ACV before, just know that these are 1000000x better. I’m still quite surprised they curb my appetite so well. To the point where I don’t look forward to lunch as much anymore…but it’s ok, I need to cut back on the calories anyway.
