“I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.”
Hi, my name is Ashley, and this is my blog Reasyume (pronounced ‘resume’). I was born and raised in (and still residing in) sunny California. I work full time during the week, so I like to take full advantage of weekends to go out and explore. I’m inspired by so many things, and I thought that this blog would be the perfect way for me to document everything and spread the joy around! Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. And if you’re still curious, here are some more or less random facts about me:
Favorite drink: I usually only drink water. But besides that, a Strawberry Matcha Latte from Boba guys, or a gin & tonic.
Favorite food: This is so hard because I love food so much in general. My favorite cuisine is probably Japanese (I’m a sucker for raw fish and RAMEN RAMEN RAMEN). Favorite ramen place in the bay is Ramen Nagi. Favorite sushi place (that’s reasonably priced and within a reasonable driving distance) is Tomi Sushi. Hot Cheetos are pretty good too.
Have you ever been out of the country: Yes, many times. My dad loves to travel so I fell in love with being on the road at a very young age. I love experiencing different cultures (and more importantly (jk), cuisines). Favorite place to go? Europe. There’s just such a timeless elegance to European cities that I can’t get enough of. But Patagonia is next on my bucket list.
Biggest fear: Spiders. I read somewhere that most people are afraid of spiders because of how fast their legs move. I don’t know if that’s true, but I guess it makes sense. If there’s a spider in my room and I can’t find someone to kill it for me (or put it outside), I will not sleep in my room.
Do you blog full time: Ha, I wish. That would be the dream, though.
How tall are you: 5’8″. On a good night’s sleep and my 0.5 inch sandals. I just hate saying 5’7.5″.
Funny habits: I have to exercise every day. I get so fidgety otherwise. And I feel like showering when I’m not sweaty is a waste of water. But I guess that’s a good thing right?
And of course…the big one that most people are interested in:
What is the meaning behind your blog name: Reasyume is pronounced “resume” and is Re: As[hley] Yu, Me. I thought it was a pretty clever name 😉
